Peer Support Services
What is Peer Support?
Peer support is a confidential, non-clinical service offered by individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges, trauma, or similar life events. It’s built on mutual understanding, empathy, and shared experience. Peer support provides emotional encouragement, practical assistance, and a safe space to talk without judgment.
What Peer Support Is Not:
Peer support is not therapy, counselling, or a substitute for clinical care. Peer supporters do not diagnose, prescribe, or offer medical advice. Instead, they walk alongside individuals, offering compassion, hope, and understanding from someone who’s been there.
